Today we went to the Mediterranean coast to visit Porte-Vendres and Couillure. We were greeted by a nice breakfast, tour of Porte-Vendres, and a shuttle train to Couillue and back through the countryside. After that we returned to Ceret and had a nice final night with everyone together. I have quickly gained some friends and it will be hard to not see them until October. Sorry for the short text but my computer is driving me crazy and it’s late.

I remember driving through Port Vendres. Very confusing if you aren’t familiar with the layout. The next town to the south–Banyuls-sur-Mer–is where we purchased the now famous aubergine panini. It was on the drive along the coast just after Banyuls on the small coastal road that the back of our car was lifted up and moved to the right by a very strong gust of wind. Scary!!

Oh, and we have a weathered 1/2-brick from the beach at Banyuls that is in our flower bed….
