As Eric said, each of us did unique activities with our families during the weekend. My host family and I visited a cave called “Grotte des Canalettes” (I think…). Beside the cave was a small, very medieval-like town. Since it was Easter, there was some sort of festival going on, which included giant people (refer to the pictures below). Today (again, as Eric said), we went to Carcassonne and toured a very old and historic castle. Anyways, here are some pictures:
-Ceret:
-the cave and the town beside the cave (some of the pictures are dark, but, well… it’s a cave; I didn’t use flash on some because it ruined the picture):
-French food (I think the host family said that this particular food is only eaten on Easter. I’ve unfortunately forgotten the name of it):
-Carcassonne:
After listening to the tour guide talk about the castle, we all had a picnic. It somehow turned into a sort of dance party, and things got… interesting (ex: anyone remember how to do the Hokey Pokey?).
