This morning the entire exchange group met up at the historic town of Carcassonne for the day. We received a tour (in English, sadly) of the keep and the wall. In fact, the French correspondents could understand the tour guide better than the Americans. His words were comprehendible but his sentences were a bit hard to understand. After the tour we went outside the walls to have a picnic lunch. It was very nice and the French and American students enjoyed sharing American and French songs and dances with each other. After the lunch we were free to go visit Carcassonne some more and go home whenever we wanted. It was a fun visit to a very historic place.
