Two Grafton High School students were chosen to receive scholarships to assist with their travel for a 2015 student educational exchange to Port-Vendres, France, surrounding areas on the Mediterranean, as well as Barcelona, Spain and Paris. Brittney Foreman, a junior, and Annie Cao, a freshman, received the news today. The total amount of scholarship monies distributed was $2,000. A panel of judges, one trustee from the York Foundation for Public Education, Inc., and four representatives of Sister Cities Yorktown, selected the winners through an application process. Students depart March 31.

In partnership with the YFPE, Inc., Sister Cities Yorktown also awards semi-annual Innovative Grants for French teachers who work in the York County School Division. The next deadline for Innovative Grants is Wednesday, February 18, 2015.
