Yorktown festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, and will feature a delicious menu paired with an outstanding selection of wines. Riverwalk owner and host, Mario Buffa, will explain the wines. The menu includes: Golden tomato bisque; a choice of tarragon-crusted cod fillet with citrus salsa, or chicken crepes with vegetable crudités, or a marinated flank steak in Meaux mustard sauce; mesclun salad greens with a warm brie crouton, and an apple raspberry flambé.
Guests will be entertained with live French accordion music that will transport them to the streets of Paris.
Advanced tickets are required. Don’t delay, as this event sells out quickly, and seating is limited. Contact the Riverwalk Restaurant at 757 875 1522 for reservations. The cost is $75 per person, including tax, gratuity, dinner, wines and a generous donation to Sister Cities Yorktown. The donation helps the organization continue its work with student and citizen exchanges and other special programming. The event also will feature a raffle for a French Champagne and food basket and a silent auction.
