On Friday night, we left for Paris on an overnight train. It was filled with excitement but a lot of tears. We had grown very close to our correspondents, so it was hard to leave. We slept over on the “couchette” and dropped our luggage off at the hotel in Paris upon arrival so we could start our day.
We visited Sacré Coeur, and then Painter’s Square near Montmartre. Then we got our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. We went to Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. They were amazing! Afterwards we did some shopping on the Champs-Élysées.
The second day we started with a bus tour and saw places like the first café in Paris, the Opera House, and then the Eiffel Tower. We were dropped off and did the gorgeous tour. Next we saw the Louvre. Some of us went in to see the Mona Lisa. We ended our wonderful trip by taking a boat tour on the Seine. It was so rewarding, and we made memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to host our correspondents next year!
